Karen is a native Drumhellerite and has always been interested in the growth and prosperity of the community. Karen is a business owner in the community and is a busy mother of three.

Having her roots in Drumheller has afforded her the necessary background to be an effective member of the Drumheller Town Council. This interest lead her to a life of politics where she has had an opportunity to help direct the Town’s affairs and has had a positive influence.

Karen has been on the Drumheller Town Council for seven terms (over 21years). The past six years she has been a driving force in her belief that "everyone deserves safe, affordable & appropriate housing".  The past six years she has served on the Provincial Task Force for Affordable Housing and Social Infrastructure (AUMA).
