Emergency medical services are provided by Drumheller & District EMS which is operated by the Badlands Ambulance Services Society, a non profit society whose members include the municipalities served. Drumheller & District EMS provides basic life support (BLS) services to the residents on a 24 hours a day, 7 days a week basis. 

The Service has 5 full time EMTs (emergency medical technicians) and approximately 15 part time EMTs. The Service currently operates 3 units.

The service operates out of the Drumheller Health Centre is dispatched via enhanced 911 service from Red Deer.

The Service also provides inter facility transfer services for the David Thompson Health Region.
