Emergency medical services are operated by the Badlands Ambulance Services Society, a non-profit society whose members include the municipalities served. Badlands Ambulance provides advanced life support (ALS) and basic life support (BLS) services to the residents on a 24 hours a day, 7 days a week basis.
The Service has 6 full-time EMTs (emergency medical technicians) and approximately 15 part-time EMTs. The Service currently operates 3 units.
The service operates out of the Drumheller Health Centre is dispatched via enhanced 911 service from Red Deer.
