On June 1st, there will be a new admission standard for young children to come to the Aquaplex and swim without a parent or guardian within arms reach.
The new standard will be that a child must be:
- 6 years of age or older
- 48"/122 cm tall or taller
If a child does not meet these requirements, they must have a parent/guardian within arms reach, no exceptions.
This new standard has come due to a recent increase in lifeguard intervention with young children who are still not able to touch the bottom of the pools.
