It’s going to be another hot weekend in Drumheller!

Drumheller RCMP and Drumheller Bylaw Enforcement ask you to be mindful of your children and pets in this extreme heat. Temperatures inside a vehicle can exceed 50 degrees Celsius in a short period of time which means a vehicle can become very dangerous for kids and pets if left unattended with the air off and windows rolled up. RCMP and Drumheller Bylaw Enforcement remind you to NOT leave kids or pets in vehicles in these extreme temperatures.

What should you do if you see a child or pet sitting in a hot vehicle? Call 911 immediately to alert Police. Parents and/or pet owners can face hefty fines or even criminal charges.
