Upgrades are coming to the spray fountain!
As residents and visitors alike know, the Drumheller spray fountain is a very popular spot to cool off on a hot day. Funding is required to upgrade the filtration and sanitary systems of the wading pool/fountain to bring it into compliance with the 2014 Public Swimming Pools Regulation and Pool Standards as indicated by Alberta Health Services. These upgrades will cost $180,000.00, which has been approved by council, and will reduce town operation costs by $30,000.00 to $40,000.00 per year. The Town of Drumheller will be pursuing grants to help offset the cost of the project.
Upgrades are expected to begin later this fall.
