We offer a variety of drop-in instructor led fitness classes, over 100 classes with our Fitness on Demand system and Field House activities.
A new monthly schedule is developed the first of every month.
What are your hours of operation?
The Badlands Community Facility hours are as follows:
- Weekdays: Monday through Friday: 6:00am – 10:00pm;
- Weekends: 8:00am – 8:00pm;
- Holiday hours: 8:00am – 8:00pm, and;
- Closed: Christmas Day, New Years Day and Remembrance Day.
What are the BCF Membership Fees and Admissions?
The BCF offers a variety of Memberships for youth, adults, families and seniors, based on Single Facility Use or Multi-Facility Use, for 1 month, 3 month, 6 month, annual and corporate packages.
We also have a 10 Pack for 10 admissions, 10-Use Pack for a variety of users and a daily drop in rate available.

What are your rental rates?
The Badlands Community Facility offers three reasonable rental rates including a:
1. Private rate: for any non-resident of the Town of Drumheller or any business;
2. Local rate: for any person who is residing and has resided in the Town of Drumheller for a continuous period of at least 30 days prior to application. Requires managements approval, and;
3. Not-for-profit: any group or party that is based whole or in part in the Town of Drumheller.
How do I book space?
Space may be booked by completing the following steps below:
Step 1: Availability Questions about facility availability can be made in person at the Badlands Community Facility, by phone at 403 823-1370 and via email at BCFinfo@dinosaurvalley.com
Step 2: Making Reservations Reservations and payments can be made in person at the Badlands Community Facility at 80 Veterans Way or by calling (403) 823-1370.
Once your reservation is taken you will be issued a permit and permit # confirming your reservation has been received. Your reservation will not be final until a deposit has been paid.
Step 3: Completing Reservations To complete your reservation, we require the following:
- A signed contract within 10 business days of permit issue date;
- A 15% reservation deposit received within 10 business days from time of your permit being issued - The reservation deposit is refundable and transferable up to 90 days prior to event date and thereafter is 100% forfeited
Step 4: Payment: o Your full payment is required 10 business days prior to first day of your event o In cases of reservations shorter than the 10 business days, full fees are required at the time of booking.
Can I work out and then go to the pool?
With a Multi-Facility pass you can work out at the BCF and then go to the pool on the same day.
Do I have to pay to run on the tracks of the BCF?
There is a drop-in fee required to use the running/walking track at the Badlands Community Facility.
The drop-in fee also gives you access to the all the amenities located in the Canalta Fitness Centreincluding the running track, a variety of fitness equipment, fitness classes, our new Fitness on Demand Systemand the Field House.
The Badlands Community Facility drop-in fees are: Adult, $8.25; Youth/Seniors: $6.25; Family (2 adults only) $17.25; Children under the age of 5 are free.
Can my child just sit there when I work out?
All children, under 14 years, must be supervised and within view of their parent/guardian while in the Canalta Fitness Center.
Are BCF Corporate Packages available?
The BCF is proud to offer Corporate Membership Packages to local businesses. Packages are available at the Main Information Desk or can be e-mailed to you by contacting email@example.com
Where is the BCF located?
The Badlands Community Facility is located at 80 Veterans Way in Drumheller, AB.
You can find us along the Red Deer River behind the Drumheller Associated Physicians Clinic, East of the Drumheller Aquaplex Swimming Pool.
Is the BCF price competitive?
The BCF prices are comparable to other facilities. The Town of Drumheller is currently working on a financial assistance program geared at helping families that require additional support.
