2012: Flush of Main Transmission Line

     On June 5, 2012 the Water Utilities Department will be flushing the Main Transmission Line from the Water Treatment Plant to the Junction of Highway 9, Hwy. 56 and Secondary Road 575.

     This procedure will occur late in the evening (9:00 PM) and during the early morning hours. Once the main flushing is completed a directional flushing program will start and possibly run until the end of July 2012. This program will basically start in the east and proceed in a westerly direction.

     During this time should you experience water discoloration let your taps run (10 minutes) or flush your toilet to clear your water line. If the problem persists please call the Water Treatment Plant at (403) 823-1340 and staff will attend your residence or business and check the water quality issue.
