Be a Tourist in your own Town

The Town of Drumheller is promoting May 17-23rd 2010 as “Be a tourist in your own town” week. For the fourth year in a row, the town will be running an awareness advertising campaign with local media to encourage everyone to rediscover the unique attractions and spectacular scenery of the valley.

The promotion creates local awareness for the products, services and attractions in our town.

As we kick off the 2010 tourist season, we encourage our local residents to see and experience what our valley has to offer. Visit the many museums, dine at our restaurants and shop in our stores. You may also want to visit the many attractions and take a driving tour of the valley.

Drumheller Mayor, Bryce Nimmo said, “Drumheller is the heart of the Canadian Badlands and we realize the importance of our location. Our local residents are wonderful ambassadors for the valley and they do a great job hosting over 400,000 visitors every year. We look forward to being tourists in our own Town”
