The Town of Drumheller has developed a draft of a Municipal Sustainability Plan and is looking for public input on this document before it is adopted by council. The document is available on our website and comments can be made on our Blog Section of the Website.
A Municipal Sustainability Plan is a high level document that guides the community to the future. The plan addresses the five dimension of a sustainable community including environment, economy, society, culture and governance. This type of document can serve as a strategic business plan for the community and identifies short, medium and long term actions for implementation.
The Municipal Development Plan was developed through a Citizens Advisory Committee from the Drumheller Area. The committee consisted of public at large, service clubs, political interests and administration.
A public meeting at the civic centre will be held on September 8th at 7:00pm to present and discuss this document.
Read the document and then provide comments or questions on my blog site.
I look forward to hearing from you.
