After a few years of traveling in to work with the Canadian Badlands Passion Play, Blaine moved to Drumheller in the summer of 2003 to work full-time as the Society’s General Manager and Artistic Director. Completing his graduate education from a distance, working full-time and raising a busy family in Drumheller, Blaine understands the demands of a young family.
Blaine and his beautiful wife Kimberly are an Alberta Advanced Foster Home and, over the past 15 years, have fostered over 40 children. His four girls cover all the age ranges: from teen through pre-teen to preschool aged. They are a busy growing family that is active at church and in the community.
Well-rounded diversity is the strength Blaine brings to the table. With a background in Theatre, Canadian Forces (Air Force Reserves), Real Estate Sales and Appraisals, Banking, Mortgages, Marketing and Christian Ministry, Blaine brings a wide range of experience to the Council team. His education includes undergraduate training from the University of Lethbridge (Psychology/Theatre), Wagner Leadership Institute (B.P.Min), Athabasca University (General Studies) and graduate training in philosophy of religion and practical theology from Trinity Western University (M.A.). In Drumheller, Blaine has worked at The Canadian Badlands Passion Play, Sarge’s Oilfield Services, and Rosgen (Robert) Farms. Presently Blaine is the Pastor of Ministry Development at ELIM Pentecostal Church, drives on a casual basis for The Valley Bus, Cardinal Bus Lines and is the bookkeeper at a local business, Paul’s RV Service.
Blaine is determined to maintain contact with the citizens and committed to bringing positive sensible progress to Drumheller. After all, Drumheller is a great place to live and raise our families….
Put simply, Dinosaur Valley is “Something To ROAR About!”
