Councillor Sharel Shoff

Sharel Shoff was born in Drumheller. Her family has a long history in this valley, since her grandparents came to the area in 1912. Both her parents spent the majority of their lives here in the valley. Sharel took her education here and graduated from the Drumheller Composite High School.

Sharel has two adult children, both living in Drumheller and both operate their own businesses. Sharel graduated from Mount Royal College in 1992 with a Business Administration Certificate.

In 1990 Sharel was awarded the Volunteer of the Year award having been involved in many adult and children's community groups. Sharel is still involved in the community and believes that small rural towns have a lot to offer all types of families.

At present Sharel is employed at the Drumheller and Region Transition Society. Prior to that Sharel worked for the Royal Tyrrell Museum for 14 years and the Drumheller Chamber of Commerce for 5 years.
