Mealtime Assistant - The role as a volunteer mealtime assistant is important as you are actively helping to ensure that our patients and residents eat and drink the food and beverages necessary to support their health.
Mealtime assistants can mean many things, from conversing with patients to brighten their day and encourage eating, opening packages, cutting food and making the food more accessible for patients.
Some volunteers are trained to feed those who need assistance and who are not a high risk for choking.
This role has a commitment of a minimum of one meal per week and will take approximately one hour.
