FUND RAISING UPDATE
DRUMHELLER, February 23, 2010 – The Fund raising Committee for the Badlands Community Facility is pleased to announce that the fund raising campaign is progressing very well. As of this date, nearly $1.4 million dollars has been raised for the facility
Chairperson, Jeff Hall stated, “We are pleased with the public and corporate response. Our committee is concentrating on making personal contact with various businesses in Drumheller. We want to give these businesses the opportunity to review the different sponsorship programs that are available”
The fund raising committee will be in touch with approximately 20-25 businesses per month. If you would like to discuss a contribution immediately, contact Jeff Hall at 403-823-7800 and arrangements will be made to meet with a representative from the committee.
Individuals and Corporations have various levels of contribution available to them
A corporation can choose from categories that include
1. Contributor Level
2. Partner Level
3. Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Premier Level
4. Naming Rights
An individual can choose from the following categories
1. Friend
2. Supporter
3. Patron, Sponsor, Benefactor, or Philanthropist
For those corporations and individuals who donate to the facility tax deductible receipts are available.
The process to make a donation is easy. After the initial contact with the fund raising committee has been made and you are ready to make your donation we will arrange for a photo and interview opportunity. Your company will be included in various media releases that are distributed to all media in Drumheller. All donors will also receive name recognition the facility.
The construction of the Badlands Community Facility is progressing on schedule. The architect firm of Graham Edmunds Cartier is currently working on the design. In March 2010 there will be an open house to showcase the design. The construction will start with a field house, running track, fitness centre, meeting facilities and a new public library followed by an arena and curling rink as funding becomes available.
