The Town of Drumheller is seeking the services of contractors for janitorial at the new Badlands Community Facility. Interested parties can pick up tender packages at the public Works Office located at 117 7th Avenue SE, Drumheller, Ab. between the hours of 8:00 am - 4:30 pm until the closing date of Jan. 13th at 2:00 p.m. A viewing of the facility for interested janitorial contractors will be held January 6th, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. For further inquiries, please contact our office at (403) 823-1330

 

The Holiday Hours for the Aquaplex are as follows:

Extra Public Swim - 1:30 - 4:00 pm Dec. 23, 27 through 30th, and Jan. 2 through 6th.

December 24th. - Free Public Swim 10:00 - 11:30 A.M. WITH A FOOD BANK DONATION. Adult Lane Swim from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Closed at 1:00 p.m.

December 31st. - Adult Lane Swim 11:30 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. Family Swim 1:00 pm - 2:00 p.m. - Public Swim - 2:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Closed at 4:30 p.m. and will reopen January 2, 2012.

FACILITY CLOSED DECEMBER 25, 26, AND JANUARY 1ST.

All other programming will remain the same.

 

NorQuest College is partnering with Campus Alberta to offer a new Office Professional program to residents of Drumheller.

Drumheller FCSS and Alberta Justice will soon begin to offer the ‘Parenting After Separation’ (PAS) course to those parents going through a separation and mandated to take the PAS course by the court system. The course consists of approx 6 hours of instruction.

Currently, we are recruiting for a lawyer and a mediation counselor to help facilitate and run these courses 4 times a year. The first course will take place in June 2011.
1. Counselor must have at least 40 hours of training in family mediation, as recognized by the Alberta Family Mediation Society

The Town of Drumheller, in partnership with the Drumheller District Chamber of Commerce and Community Futures Big Country, is moving forward with the initial stages of the community’s Heritage Inventory Project.

 

The Town of Drumheller will be hosting the Sports, Recreation and Arts Expo in the Spring of 2012 at the Badlands Community Facility.

If you are involved in a sports, recreation or arts group then be sure to attend this expo.
