Located at the Badlands Community Facility, the Western GM Drumheller Art Gallery features the beautiful and thought provoking multi-media paintings of the late Joane Cardinal-Schubert from January 28th through February 25th, 2015.

Joane Cardinal-Schubert was an Alberta artist, writer, speaker and activist.  Throughout her career, from the early 1960’s to her passing from cancer in 2009, she strove to “lend a voice to the voiceless” and to combat Aboriginal stereotypes. “I see myself as a keeper of my culture.”

Joane Cardinal-Schubert is a touring exhibition developed by the Alberta Society of Artists for the Alberta Foundation for the Arts Travelling Exhibition Program. This exhibition is currently circulating throughout southwestern parts of Alberta. The AFA Travelling Exhibition Program is financially supported by the Alberta Foundation for the Arts.

The Drumheller Public Library oversees monthly exhibitions in the Western GM Drumheller Art Gallery.  They are currently accepting reservations for 2016. Please call 403-823-1371 for further information and reservations.
