About the Program

Drumheller Valley FCSS; together with Wheatland County Counselling officially launched a subsidised counselling program for Drumheller residents in September 2018. The project is funded by the Town of Drumheller, initially until December 2018, as a trial to determine demand/need.

This program comes as a direct response to the need for affordable, accessible Counselling services in town; which was identified as a priority in the Community Needs Assessment.

Individuals, couples, and families can access up to 12 counselling sessions to address a wide variety of concerns.

Who can access the program?

Individuals of any age, couples and families residing in Drumheller.

Clients will complete an initial assessment with Wheatland County Counselling and, if eligible, the amount that they pay will be on a sliding scale based on family income.

The Hirsch So Good Memorial Fund

Created in memory of Jeff Hirsch who lost his fight with mental illness in 2018, this fund has added invaluable addition funds to help the program to be available to a wider number of people in need.

How do I register?

Clients wishing to access the service can self-refer online at or by phone: (403) 901-3761.
