The Administrative Leader of the Municipality is the Chief Administrative Officer.  

The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) is responsible for the overall administration of municipal operations in accordance with the objectives, policies, and plans approved by Council. The role also ensures that the Town meets all of its obligations under provincial and federal government policies, regulations, and legislation. 

Duties of the position include: 

  • Ensuring the Town has the leadership, resources, and processes needed to address corporate initiatives such as the Strategic Business Plan and Annual Business Plans
  • Directing, supervising and reviewing performance of all departments;
  • Implementing policies, programs, and decisions of Town Council; and
  • Overseeing the preparation of the operating and capital budgets.

The CAO works as a bridge between Council and Town Staff and ensures that we are focused on efficient and effective service to the public.
