Judi Rich formally began her spiritual journey in 1992, when she discovered a Brahma Kumaris Centre in her hometown of Calgary. From childhood, there had been interested in 'the bigger questions of life', & how the answers might contribute to a kinder world. Through the study of Raja Yoga, a spiritual practice, Judi feels she has not only found the answers she sought, but re-awakened a capacity we all have for deep contentment, peace & stability.

In addition to currently serving as the Centre Coordinator for the Brahma Kumaris Centre in Calgary, Judi works as a graphic designer & fitness instructor. Although it may seem that the intensity & noisiness of fitness, & the stillness & silence of contemplation are incompatible, she has found that the opposite is true...that they actually enhance each other & create a sense of well-being when integrated.

The Brahma Kumaris organisation is a worldwide spiritual movement dedicated to personal transformation & world renewal. Founded in India in 1937, Brahma Kumaris has spread to over 110 countries on all continents & has had an extensive impact in many sectors as an international NGO. However, their real commitment is to helping individuals transform their perspective of the world from material to spiritual. It supports the cultivation of a deep collective consciousness of peace & of the individual dignity of each soul.

Janice Chalmers-Massinon is happy to call Drumheller her hometown. She was born and raised here in the Valley. Life and work took her away to the City of Calgary where she raised her daughter Calsea. She worked for the Calgary Fire Department as an emergency communications officer and then furthered her career as a supervisor for Public Safety Communications (911). Her career of 20 years enabled her to work, play and meet so many amazing people. She is forever grateful that she was able to be a part of this culture….and she can instantly amuse you with some of the stories!! She then decided to redirect her life…(or maybe it redirected her)…moving back to Drumheller, getting married & starting a whole new life...basically! She read this quote one day still feeling jittery after leaving her six figure job...."If you get a chance, take it...If it changes your life, let it". She read that quote every single day...and hoped like heck...she could do it!

She was so fortunate to be able to return to school…. finished her full time studies at Canadian School of Natural Nutrition with a Certified Holistic nutritionist designation. This was a huge change from her former shift working, fast food eating, adrenaline pumping life! And ultimately crazy unhealthy! She now owns Peak Holistic Nutrition and specialises in easing adrenal fatigue, stress management through diet and nutritional consulting. She love, love, loves cooking! Her kitchen is always in "test" kitchen mode! Her family groans at the mention of Kale and Quinoa…so she is very creative in adding "nourishment" to her creations! Her projects have included mountain retreats in Canmore & Panorama, cooking school for fun at Highbanks Society in Calgary and healthy culinary coaching for clients. She also volunteers for the Calgary Holistic Society making meals for families at Ronald McDonald House at Alberta Children's Hospital.

Amber Leavitt is a working mother of three. The day that she found out she was pregnant with her first child in 2004, she realised that she wanted to live a healthy lifestyle so that she could be around to see her children grow up & have children of their own…but still didn't take any steps towards that new lifestyle until March 2012 when her best friend invited her to an MLM party for a company selling health products. The company's marketing strategy was to challenge their clients to choose a 90 day health goal & Amber decided this challenge was the perfect opportunity to keep her accountable to her goal of becoming healthier & more active! The challenges kept Amber going and with each new 90 day challenge, she incorporated different aspects of health or fitness & did a lot of research to find out what best suited her, her body & her lifestyle. Fitness really did become her lifestyle & she began to set longer term goals such as competing in bodybuilding competitions & getting certified as a Personal Trainer. She started to train others so that she could share her passion for fitness & since becoming certified she found new passion in helping others achieve their own health & fitness goals. She loves creating relationships with her clients; showing them how to find "fun" in working out & watching them make lifestyle changes that give priority to health & fitness in their own everyday lives. She is inspired everyday by those that she works with & loves seeing them motivate & inspire their own family & friends. It is her mission to help others find their passion in fitness & achieve their health & fitness goals.
