Position Summary:  The Badlands Community Facility (BCF) is Drumheller social and cultural hub. 

The BCF requires a highly motivated individual to coordinate the development of sales activities in service of users from local and external markets. 

The facility includes banquet and conference rooms in addition to a multi-use field house and fitness centre.

The ideal candidate is highly creative and organized – and thrives in a fast-paced work environment in direct contact with the public. 

Experience in marketing and event organization in addition to skills in the use of social media and technology is preferred.

Employment Category:  Full Time

Hours:  37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday – some early morning, evening and weekend work required – depending on demands.

Benefits:  As per the Town’s HR Policy and CUPE 4604 Collective Bargaining Agreement

Pay Scale:  $29.76 - $34.59

Education and Experience:  College Diploma or University Degree in:  Commerce, Administration, Marketing, Special Events, Tourism, Hospitality,  

Management or other applicable discipline and (3-5 years) experience in a sales/hospitality services industry or demonstrated equivalent experience.

A valid Class 5 Driver’s License (or equivalent) is required

Position Summary:  Reporting directly to the Administrative Supervisor – the RCMP Stenographer is responsible for the support, facilitation, and coordination of public communications,

customer service and police member support services for the Drumheller Detachment of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and members of the Town of Drumheller – Community Enforcement Services.

The ideal candidate requires a commitment to working in a challenging work environment where skills for dealing and resolving conflict creatively is encouraged and supported. 

Excellent clerical skills including keyboarding, professional phone manner, organization of filing systems and transcription of police records are core to the success of this position.

Employment Category:  Casual

Hours per Week: May vary

Pay Scale: $22.60 - $26.10

Education and Experience:  A certificate or diploma in office technology, criminal justice, or equivalent experience and education is preferred. 

An equivalent of one year of office experience in a highly sensitive work environment and the ability to qualify for an enhanced security and criminal

records check is also required.
