Position Summary:
Due to retirement, the Town is currently looking for an Economic Development Manager to join its Senior Management team.

Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, opportunity arises to provide leadership, and responsibility for the overall management of the Economic Development function. 
Current focus is on a Downtown Revitalization Program, Agriculture, Government, Tourism and Service opportunities, present and future. 
Strategic planning, team building and leadership experience will be an asset.  
The Manager will provide guidance to Council, Committees, Senior Management and the Public.

•University Degree in Business Administration or Commerce with a designation in economic development with standing in a professional development association.
•Related experience with seven (7) years of progressive experience in a senior management role, preferably in a municipal environment with (3) years leadership experience.
•Knowledge of current economic trends, attraction, retention and revitalization.
•Excellent leadership, problem solving, budgeting, organizational and project management skills.
•Interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with staff, other levels of government, elected officials, consultants, media and the general public.
•Proficiency with methodology and research skills required to report, collect and analyze statistical data.
•Valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license.
